Sunday in Vegas

Jay and I were awake fairly early, so we went downstairs and grabbed some breakfast before Mass. We had told the kids to meet us in the lobby and we all went to church.
After that, Jay and Ty went to play golf in Summerlin, at a gorgeous private course our niece Sara got them onto.
Thanks, Sara!
While the guys were wasting their time in that manner, Katie, Megan and I hopped on the shuttle and spent the next five hours wandering up and down the strip, gawking like the gawkers we are and dropping a few dollars in penny slots in every casino who's decor we admired.
We took the tram from the Excaliber to the Luxor and Mandalay Bay. We were underwhelmed by the Luxor, who's interior didn't live up to the expectations it's exterior engendered in us.
Our favorite places were, in no particular order; the Bellagio, Caesar's Palace, the Palazzo, Paris and the Venetian. These were the places that made our mouths drop open and our eyes bug out.
After walking and gambling in the hot sun for four hours or so, we stopped at the Bellagio Cafe for a bite. That place was lovely and not at all cheesy like so much else that we like about this town. It's just straight up glamorous.
We split a shrimp cocktail, a cobb salad and a tiny piece of insanely rich fudge cake.
Megan tried to steal all the frosting and while Katie and I greatly admired her effort, we didn't let her get away with it.
The guys finished golf as we were getting rid of the last three dollars in vouchers we had and then they picked us up outside Paris.
A ten minute soak in the hot tub for all of us was just the thing we needed before we showered up and headed out for dinner.
We ate at a Mexican place off the strip called Lindo Michoacan. They make the guacamole right at your table. We had them do it half spicy/half mild. Surprisingly, it was the two Texans who requested mild.
Dinner was delicious. Jay and I split a dinner of orange roughy. We were all so full that when our waiter brought the dessert menu, no one had any room left.
I was almost asleep by the time we got back to the Orleans.
My plan for today is to lay like a dead thing (that still eats a lot) by the pool until it's time to go to the airport,
