Katie's law school class had a party at Target Field last night.  I asked her how it was and she said "terrible".  It seems some jerk cornered her and made her cry!

He's a guy she barely knows and he accused her of being the ring leader of the cool kids and responsible for poisoning them against him so he never got to sit at their table during lunch.

And you thought law school was different from high school!

I asked Katie why she didn't slap him across the face and flounce away and she said she was too busy crying on the inside and slinking away.  Also, she knows the legal ramifications of slapping someone.  What's the world come to when a girl can't slap a guy when he's offending her??   She told one of her friends what had happened and the cool kids spent the rest of the party berating the jerk for being mean to their leader.

She said she  spent more time and energy discussing this jerk with her law school friends this morning  than she has in the last three years, which is probably why he accosted her in the first place.

Then, Tyler called me tonight to tell me that he was at happy hour with some buddies and one of them was with a girl who mentioned The Princess Bride, as in "Robin Hood is good but it's no Princess Bride."  She told them that was her favorite movie and Tyler immediately said "As....you.....wish!"

She stared blankly at him.

"R.O.U.S.s?"  he followed up.

Nada.  No reaction at all.

Now he was getting suspicious.  "The six fingered man??" he asked.  Getting no recognition from her at all, he then accused her of never having seen the movie she claimed was her favorite and therefore was either a liar or a moron.

Seriously, people; don't claim to love the Princess Bride if you've never seen it.
Not around my kids.
