Cool New Stuff

Last Saturday I got a call from Tyler telling me that he and Megan just picked up their new puppy; a 16 week German shepherd named Dolly. They are going to fence a portion of the yard for her; the whole property is fenced for horses but a dog could slip right through the barbed wire.
I thought; my kid has a house, a fiance, a job, a car and a dog. He's getting married in August and at the rate these two are going they'll have three kids by next summer!
Josie and I are going down to see them when school's out. We're going to help paint the interior of the house, which is getting all new flooring as I type. I'm also going to bring my acrylics and paint Tyler the big ass painting I told him I'd give him for Christmas. I need to get some research materials together but it'll be fun.
Also last weekend, Katie came over and showed me what her boyfriend, Adam gave her as a law school graduation present; a compound bow for deer hunting! It's small enough for her, camouflage and super cool! She doesn't have any arrows yet.
So one kid has started his shotgun collection and another has a hunting bow. Moral of the story; you can take the kids out of Montana but eventually you realize that you never get the Montana out of the kids. It's good to know that when the world economy collapses, two of my kids will have the ability to feed themselves.
I got the wedding invitation drawn up, now it's just a matter of printing and stuffing.
Josie's golf banquet is next Friday then school's out for summer the next week. This year has flown by!
Yesterday, it was in tthe low 80's with no humidity. Mom, Dad, MJ and I took a walk with the little girls from MJs house to the lake. When we got there, MJ let Bananas take off her shoes and play in the water for a little while. Then we put her back in the stroller and she lived up to her name by screaming the mile and a half home.
What did we expect? You can't let a toddler play at the beach for five minutes and expect her to think that's enough!
We got what we deserved.
Next time, if she goes in the water, she should stay there till she's exhausted. Then we take her home.
