Begin with Brunch

Josie and I got home from church to find the lovely Mr.Curry having brunch with Jay. He'd brought over the newspaper and a big bag of Caribou coffee. There were pancakes and sausages for us and although Jay offered to make eggs, we were happy with pancakes. It was a perfectly lovely way to start a Sunday.
It was a very June like day, in that it couldn't decide whether to be warm and sunny or windy and rainy. We decided to go with the warm and sunny, so MJ and her babies and mom and I met at Katie's and we walked around the lake. It was beautiful and warm most of the way but the south side of the lake was stalked by black rain clouds the whole time. At one point, we were walking in bright sunshine, watching the sail boats cruising alone, as it rained on us.
June.
After that, I came home and painted Christmas signs. Two each of "Bah humbug" and "tis the season" and one that says "ring a ling." What can I say? People love the little things.
Tomorrow I have to do two large Christmas stockings. Bleh.
Jay cooked us some sword fish and beef kabob for dinner. Yum! I whipped up a batch of guacamole and everything was good.
Zack got home form his buddies cabin late in the afternoon and he and Josie and Jay played Sorry. Strange game for a bunch of grown ups, but I guess they can do what they want.
It was a good weekend.
