The wedding is a week from yesterday.

I have a dress, I have the shoes, I have an outfit for the rehearsal dinner, I think I've tracked down a photo of Pat and Frank's wedding; things are on track.

Saturday morning, I gathered my work up, ran to the shop and dropped it off.  I hoped there would be my check waiting for me but it wasn't.  The boss wasn't in.  Oh well, now she owes me double next week.

I drew up a new ornament to needlepoint.  It's cool.

YES IT IS.

Jay went off to play in a SWACKER golf tournament.  My folks called and invited us to dinner at the club.  I never got hold of Jay, so I went without him.

Mom and I had the walleye- DELICIOUS- Dad had a full rack of ribs.  Dinner was fun, the conversation scintillating, the wedding party going on in the ballroom fancy and beautiful.  Members of the wedding party kept drifting off onto the course, and the manager had to go chase them back to the lawn.  And the Twins were winning on the big screen behind me.

It was all good.

I wore my new lilac linen top with my white skirt and I wore the new silver shoes.  I didn't want to wear brand new shoes to the wedding; what if they hurt  my feet?

They were very comfy and I will look good for the wedding.

Today, I plan to get some work done.  Lots to do this week, starting with dinner our at Tim and Mary Lou's tomorrow night.

This happened;
Text messages between our daughter Katie and her friend Andy;

Andy:  I ran into your sister on the golf course.

Katie: how do you know it was my sister?

Andy: I recognised the last name and asked her if she was Katie Pivec's sister.

Katie; Well, don't flirt with her, she's only fourteen.

Then Katie told Josie, who said "I haven't been on a course in six weeks."

That's when Katie realized that Andy had met her cousin , Sara, who is 31, drop dead gorgeous, works in the golf/hospitality industry and has a sister named Katy.

 Andy now thinks Katie has the hottest teenage sister in town.

Sounds like the premise for a Jud Apatow movie, doesn't it?
