Back in '08, just when it looked like the Dems were going to take over Washington, I was having a discussion with someone who remembers the past very well.

He told me that with Bush out, the Dems would reverse their stand on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan because they would not want to be perceived as having lost the wars that the Bush Administration was so clearly winning when Bush left office.

I reminded him that the Democrat party believes that Vietnam was one of their shining accomplishments.  They think they ended a war, and that the bloody aftermath and alienation of our own allies and the flood of boat people in the 80's and the fact that countries that should have been willing to support us overseas, now viewed our country with suspicion, were all pluses; Those circumstances would prevent the US from easily going to war in the future.

So it cost the lives of 3,000,000 actual people?  No biggie to Democrat philosophers.  If the result is the end to America's ability to wage war, then 3,000,000 are an acceptable loss, especially since every one of the 3,000,000 dead were yellow or brown, not white people.

But the Dems will call Republicans racist because they want to enforce our own federal immigration laws.

That's the way the game is played.

I digress.

I said, back in '08, that I believed the Dems, given a chance, would love nothing more than to undo all the good the American military has done in the middle East in the past decade, fighting the war on terror and trying to liberate two countries from tyrannical regimes and lives of violence and fear.

I hate being proved right but Obama's plan to repeat the Vietnam  debacle is coming along at lightening speed.

Don't get me wrong; if Bush had done things the way he should have, this mess would have been over before a Democratic administration could get their hands on it.  I think we should never have changed the rules of engagement from those of WWII.  War is Hell.  The only way to fight one righteously is to win it as quickly as possible.   Civilians get killed.  The faster you win, the fewer will die.  It sounds harsh and awful but pulling our troops out will leave all those who helped us over there, alone and at the hands of the most vicious people on earth; the muslim extremists. I'm talking about the Iraqis and Afghans, not the members of the 40+ national militaries that helped us in this 'unilateral' effort.

I think the lesson of Vietnam Nam (where the US military won every battle, spent five years training the South Vietnamese to fend for themselves, went home, threw Nixon out of office, leaving the government in the hands of Democrats, who promptly pulled all funding for out allies in Vietnam. That's how we lost that war; not through military defeat but by betraying our own allies.)

I think the lesson of Vietnam was; you can't win a war by fighting with one hand ties behind your back.

The Bush Admin. thought the lesson of Vietnam was; kick ass, make friends.

The Democrat Philosophers believe the lesson of Vietnam is; Losing wars is good for us in the long run.

I call them the philosophers because I don't believe that 95% of the Americans who consider themselves Dems or who vote for the Democrat party believe that; it's what the elites, most of whom marinate in the artificial world of academia before being swept to Washington on magic carpets, believe.

In essence, we have elected an entire administration of eight year old girls who believe in Fairy Dust and Unicorns.

Their domestic policy in a nutshell is "Give Money to People and Everyone Will Be Rich."  because they have no idea how wealth is created.

Their foreign policy boils down to; "Losing a War Results in Peace, Too."  because they have no idea what Liberty or Peace really are so they aren't concerned with us losing either.

And they are hell bent on losing the war in the Middle East as fast as they can.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt is considered by many to be the Founding Father of the Modern Democrat Party.  I believe old FDR would look at  the modern Dems, much like a successful old man would view his Idiot Son who was busy driving the family enterprise into the ground.

FDR's domestic policies prolonged the Great Depression by seven years.  His excuse is that he didn't know that's how it would work.  Obama & Co. have no such excuse.

FDR saved the world from the 1000 year Reich by allowing our military to do what they are trained to do; Kill people and Break things.  He may have had stars in his eyes regarding Joseph Stalin but at least he wasn't remotely interested in making friends with the Germans or the Japanese until we had thoroughly beaten them.  This lesson, Obama & Co. choose to ignore.

Fairy Dust and Unicorns.
