My HOF Leftovers

Jay went out to dinner last night with some friends. They went to a chop house they love. Whenever Jay eats there, he always brings me home a huge pork chop, as he can never finish what he orders for dinner. He does this on purpose because he's awesome.
This weekend, the Minnesota Twins were celebrating their 50th birthday. As part of the celebration, they named a list of the top 50 members of the organization in the past half century. It wasn't all players, as several managers were among the 50 named. Billy Martin and Tom Kelly and our current manager, Ron Gardenhire.
There have been so many great players for the Twins! Our current home town hero, Joe Mauer was of course named. So were such old favorites as Kent Hrbek and Kirby Pucket and the legends like Tony Oliva, Jack Morris and Rod Carew but the number one Twins Legend and top player was of course, Harmon Killebrew.
He was also one of the guys Jay went to dinner with last night.
So, in addition to Jay's half of a huge pork chop, he brought me home half an enormous slab of prime rib that Harmon couldn't finish.
I ate it for lunch.
That's right; I ate Harmon Killebrew's dinner for lunch.
I'm eating Jay's pork chop for dinner tonight.
So, I'm eating leftover. These are the leftovers of HALL OF FAMER's, baby!
Major League Baseball and NJCAA Halls of Fame!!
Ordinary food is beginning to taste so bland to me now.
If it hasn't been touched by greatness, I don't even know if I can eat it, anymore.
I wonder what Jack Nicklaus had for dinner last night?
