MJ took Bananas over to the University of Minnesota yesterday to participate in a study of language skills in two year olds.

They were impressed that B uses the word 'if'.  'IF'  is a pretty advanced concept, when you come to think of it.  It's not surprising most kids with less than 36months life experience don't use the word.

Bananas uses it.  She's been known to say "You told me if I was good in Target, I'd get a cookie. I was good.  Where's my cookie?"

At one point in the study, a gal sat with Bananas and showed her flash cards with simple pictures.

"THIS. IS. A. TREE."  the teacher was careful to annunciate properly.  "THIS. IS. A. SHOE.  WHICH. ONE. DO. YOU. LIKE. BETTER?"

Bananas looked at the gal as though she were a moron and said "I like the shoe better because it's pink."

She didn't actually say "Duh!" but I'm pretty sure it was implied.

Would it make you really mad to know that Bananas was also the prettiest kid in the study?
