First Snow, November 13

It was 67 degrees with a blue sky and light breeze on Thursday. I walked around the lake with Katie, MJ and the babies. We were all sweaty when we finished.
36 hours later we awoke to find that Winter had cornered us. It's a winter wonderland outside; everything is covered in crystallin, white beauty. It's like living in Narnia.
Which means it's not the light, fluffy snow but the thick, heavy snow. Wet cement, that's what's falling from the sky.
The rule of thumb is pretty much; the prettier the snow fall, the harder it is to shovel.
I read somewhere that Eskimos have almost thirty words for 'snow'.
Here in Minnesota, we only have two; "F****** Snow."
