It's not the holidays around here unless we have problems with the water.  Last year, our hot water heater made the wise choice between blowing up or draining hot water all over our basement floor, mere hours before the Christmas Eve festivities started.  This year it chose the day after Christmas to quit.  it's not a very old heater so it shouldn't be so problematic.  We can live without hot water till the technician gets here, sometime tomorrow.

Yesterday we slept in, went down to the Basilica for Mass and then to Bunny's for brunch.  It was great, even though we only won two bucks on pull tabs.  The food was excellent.

I crashed like the Hindenburg in the afternoon and when I woke up, everyone was gone.  Later on, most of us wound up at Mom and Dad's, where we had meatloaf for dinner and then sat around the table telling stories and laughing ourselves sick.

We decided that our beautiful sister in law Kathy, will have to call her autobiography "Dead Ducks and Dear Hats". 

JP  told us  that if you're pantless in a Denny's parking lot, you may as well be naked.  It made perfect sense the way he explained it.

It was a fun night.

Jay is shifting glaciers on the roof right now.

He spent the morning cleaning and doing dishes by hand since the dishwasher can't do a good job with no hot water.

I'm going to go watch The Expendables.
