so far, June has been waaaay better than April or May, weather wise.  First of all, it's only rained at night and the days have been both sunny AND warm.

We've only gotten cold, sunny days or rainy, hot, sticky days so far this spring.

June rocks.

Of course, it's only the second.

Happy Anniversary, Mom and Dad!!  Fifty five years. 

Yesterday, MJ and I took Bananas and Punkin to the lake.  We walked from the shady beach to the band stand and bought the babies ice cream.  Mom called while we were there and said she was driving in to meet us.  So after the ice cream, we walked up to the old homestead just as Mom pulled up.  She joined us and we wandered around to the park where the girls played on the swings for a while.  Then we walked the rest of the way around the lake.  When we got to MJ's car, we gave Mom a ride back to hers.

The whole affair took us three hours and we all loved every minute of it.  Neither of the girls had a single cranky moment and Punkin tried valiantly to walk.  Bananas actually did walk over a mile of the way so I'm sure both of them slept well last night.

I came home, got some work done and had my head handed to me over two games of scrabble with my kids.

Like I said, June rocks.
