I may have mentioned that I ran out of one of the sizes of canvas I use the other day.

And I'm broke.

Today I picked up a big stack of orders to rectify the 'broke' part.

They're all for #16 canvas.

If only I could hire someone and get a $4000.00 tax rebate this afternoon! 

I also need new brushes.  There's a place up on the far side of down town that sells great white sable brushes dirt cheap.  I could totally afford some there if my car worked.

That's right, the mini van's in the shop again.  It's been a few years so it was time.  Yesterday morning, I turned the key and the car said "click".  That's it; just 'click'.  No, "hi, how are you?  good night, good job, I'll most likely kill you in the morning".  Just 'click'.

I rode my bike up to the shop to drop off orders and pick up the new ones  and it was a lovely ride but I couldn't take the new footstool they want me to finish.  It's the only thing they had for me that didn't involve #16 canvas and I couldn't take it. 

I could start on the painting I'm doing for my daughter but I need some supplies and I'm not sure I want to ride my bike to Michael's.  I could.  It would suck.  I'm not one of those hardy bike riders who puffs along on busy streets.  I like a smooth bike paths and no cars around. 

So...on the order of making lemonade, I'm going out into my backyard to clear the weeds away from the air conditioner and the house.  I'll be able to work out my frustrations on mother nature while also accomplishing a job that needs doing.

But first; leftover lasagna and birthday cake for lunch!
